NuVu Festival, curated by Miki Orihara, was created to promote young, mid career and established dance artists to share their craft and to have the chance to learn, meet and share the stage together.

Orihara believes we learn new things from old teachings. Sharing different stages of dance artists’ lives and works on the same stage gives a great deal of new perspective on our experience of the art form. Most importantly for Orihara is that dance artists get to know and inspire each other through this concert and with this intimate space, audiences experience a variety of ways of expressing through dance.

This Festival is supported by LPAC and by Steven Hitt, Director of LPAC NYC. I am so thankful for his vision, support and encouragement.
